Laura G. Holland (MA TESOL, Teachers College, Columbia University, BS Early Childhood and Elementary Education, Wheelock College of Education), has been teaching English language for nearly 35 years. At the University of Oregon, she teaches English language and teacher education in the American English Institute and the Department of Linguistics. Ms. Holland is also the external reviewer and works annually with the teachers of ICPNA Chiclayo in Peru. She has published numerous articles on language teaching, mentoring and classroom observation and co-authored the teacher training guidebook Shaping the Way We Teach English: From Observation to Action, published by the US Department of State (2013). She has presented teacher training workshops across the United States, Canada, Peru, Mexico and in Cambodia.
